CHSAA Season
The Colorado High School Athletics Association is the second of the two seasons we play in each school year. The CHSAA season runs from November to March. Chaparral Wolverines is a high school season out of Chaparral. Our Wolverines team is a co-op of primarily Chaparral, Ponderosa and Legend high schools along with a few private schools in Parker.
Ages
The Chaparral Wolverines is an 18U high school team. We roster Freshman through Seniors between our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.
When
The CHSAA season runs from mid November through February. The CHSAA season starts immediately after the CPHL Season that starts in August. Tryouts for CHSAA typically start just after thanksgiving but can happen prior depending on the year.
Where
Wolverines home rink is Family Sports Center in Centennial, Colorado. However, we also have home games at South Suburban Sports Complex and on a rare occasion the team may play a home game at Big Bear (when our primary rinks don't have schedule space).
Practices
Practice occur during the week, primarily after school. We typically practice 2-3 times per week. At the start of the season Practice times will shift around/increase to maximize the time on ice prior to the start of the first games. Practice days and times shift from year to year.
Games
We play up to a max of 19 games during this season. Games are scheduled Monday through Saturday in CHSAA. CHSAA "no contact" rule on Sundays does not allow coach/player interaction on Sundays.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided for use during the season and collected at the end of CHSAA. We wear different uniforms for CPHL and CHSAA.
